The Halstead Method
Developed by Richard Halstead, D.O., who
currently practices in Mooresville, Indiana, the Halstead Method is a way of
utilizing the sacrum to gather physical and emotional information about the
patient. The method can convey to the practitioner where to begin to treat
the body and the sequence to treat in. It can reveal the emotional
component of somatic dysfunction as well as aide in treating the physical
manifestation. The principles of the method can also be used on the
occiput, sternum, etc. to aid in the flow of treatment. We are currently
working with Dr. Halstead to put together a course to teach his methods.
